Machines are designed for applications that require strong, smooth, water-resistant seams without stitching or adhesives

SeamMaster ultrasonic bonding machines from Sonobond Ultrasonics are designed for applications that require strong, smooth, water-resistant seams without stitching or adhesives. SeamMaster ultrasonic bonding machines use high-frequency mechanical vibrations and pressure to fuse thermoplastic fibers at the molecular level. The result is a chemical-free, nonperforating seam that eliminates needle holes, fraying and weak points.
SeamMaster machines bond up to four times faster than traditional sewing machines and up to 10 times faster than heat-sealing and adhesive bonding machines, improving throughput while reducing consumables and secondary finishing steps.
Interchangeable pattern rollers allow manufacturers to customize bond patterns for sealing, trimming, slitting, embossing or stitch-like bonding.
“Dependable technical textiles begin with reliable seams,” says Sara Karmilowicz, business development representative for Sonobond Ultrasonics. “SeamMaster ultrasonic machines create exceptionally strong, watertight bonds that maintain their integrity under the most demanding conditions.”
